Picture of Miriam Badjo
Philomena has painted some country which is located far to the South of Balgo, in the Great Sandy Desert. This country is known as Kulkulpa, named for the tjurnnu (soakwater) shown in the center of the glass painting. The dotted panels represent particular types of bush seed collected in Kulparri country. There are small black seeds that are ground up to make damper. The singularly unique glass pieces from Warlayirti are amazingly beautiful when mounted with appropriate backlighting.

USD $700
